Officials from Hirshabelle joined representatives from Jubbaland, Galmudug and South West State in a three-day workshop focused on strengthening financial oversight and improving follow-up on audit recommendations.
The engagement brought together Ministries of Finance, Offices of the Auditor General and Parliamentary Budget and Finance Committees. Sessions clarified institutional roles in the audit cycle, examined recurring findings and supported state teams to develop practical action plans for stronger follow-up and accountability.
The workshop was jointly convened by PREMIS 2 and the European Union-supported Financial Accountability technical assistance programme.
