About Us

An independent public institution protecting accountability in the management of Hirshabelle State resources.

The Hirshabelle State Office of the Auditor General is responsible for independent external audit of State Government accounts, public expenditure and public institutions. It examines whether resources are properly accounted for, protected and managed in accordance with applicable laws, approved requirements and sound financial controls.

The Office plans and conducts audits, gathers sufficient and appropriate evidence, and communicates significant findings, conclusions and recommendations. This independent work supports legislative oversight, management action, stronger internal controls and continuous improvement in the administration of public finances and public institutions.

Verified audit reports, legislation and institutional information are made accessible so that citizens and stakeholders can understand the Office’s mandate and published work. This public record contributes to transparency, informed scrutiny and confidence in the responsible stewardship of Hirshabelle State resources.
