Ahmed Sheikh Nur Edle was appointed Auditor General of Hirshabelle State on 16th October 2024 following a presidential change at the Office of the Auditor General.
The appointment established new leadership for the Office at a time when Hirshabelle continued to strengthen external audit, public financial accountability and institutional oversight. The Auditor General is responsible for directing the Office, safeguarding its independence and ensuring that audit work is planned, conducted and reported in accordance with the legal mandate.
As Auditor General, he leads the institution responsible for independent external audit of government accounts, public expenditure and public institutions in Hirshabelle State.
